About the Artist

Robert Gillmor MBE (1936–2022) was one of Britain’s most distinguished wildlife artists, printmakers, and illustrators. A founder member and former president of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA), his iconic linocut prints and illustrations—including his celebrated work for the Collins New Naturalist series—are revered worldwide for their striking design, vivid composition, and keen observation of avian life.
